One of the reasons this site is here is because I found it hard to come across useful resources for alternative poker variants (other than Texas Holdem that is).  The web seems awash with resources that players can use to introduce them to holdem and to help them improve their games.  Having discovered Omaha, I went looking for similar resources and came up short.

It's not all a loss, however.  There are some useful resources out there to help you improve your game.  When I find them, I plan to put them here.

I'm a little behind on this section of the site but I have started with some video, which you can find here.

Poker Forums

If you play online poker and have never come across these lot then you probably live on Mars but I'll list them all the same:

Two Plus Two -  Probably the Internet's most prominant poker discussion boards and poker community.  Features some of the worst attitude problems you'll find on the web but also a very few insightful and intelligent posters.  You can learn a lot here if you can deal with the shit.  The site is also the home of Two Plus Two Publishing and features info on their books, authors etc. and their Internet magazine.

Flop Turn River - Another of the larger poker forum sites on the Internet.  Haven't spent much time there but I'm sure there is plenty to be gained from it.

Bet The Pot - Doesn't seem to be as active as the other two but a useful source of poker info nonetheless.

Omaha Poker Forums

Two Plus Two Omaha High Forum -  This is the most active of the pot limit omaha forums that I have come across.  As with other 2+2 forums there is occassionally some very useful discussion on here and you can learn a lot.  I find the attitude much less obnoxious on this forum than on some of the holdem 2+2 forums I've read.  There are some very knowledgeable guys here with something to say about the game.  Went so far as to register.  Don't think I have ever posted though.

Flop Turn River Omaha Forum - Not wetting myself with excitement about what I've come across so far here but FTR is an established community and I may simply have dipped in at the wrong times.  Well worth taking a look at now and again and you might find you like it more than I do.  This forum covers both Omaha High and the Hi / Lo split variety.

Bet The Pot Omaha Poker Forum - Looks like it has not nearly the level of traffic as the others mentioned here and is less active.  Still it's my personal favourite so far.  A couple of very insightful posters combined with a less caustic attitude than some other online forums.
